TECHNICAL WRITER (Contract):

Create, edit and maintain technical documentation (installation guide, administration guide, end-user guide, etc.). Manage technical writing process to complete projects within the required timeframe. Work closely with Product Team.

Required qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise software applications.
  • Technical expertise in Linux, system administration, programming, or databases are desirable.
  • Proven ability to research technical information from minimal written specifications.
  • Proven ability to write conceptual, task-oriented, and reference information.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely using industry-accepted grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative group setting and with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Experience in analyzing product interfaces from a usability perspective in conjunction with the documentation workflow.
  • Knowledge of Illustrator, Acrobat Pro and Photoshop, on-line help creation is a plus.
  • 5+ years of technical writing experience.
  • At least 2 year of experience authoring with Framemaker 8 or preferably 9.
  • A degree in a related field such as English, Technical Communications, or Computer Science.
