DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

ZL Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Director of Business Development. You must have at least 8+ years of experience conducting Business to Business partnership engagement. A background in enterprise software business development is required, and a background in managing enterprise software partnerships would be highly beneficial. You must be a high energy, motivated individual with a “startup” attitude.

You will work closely with the executive team. This position will report directly to Terry Welty, the Vice President of Marketing.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

In terms of professional requirements and experience, you should have:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience within the technology industry, preferably with enterprise software
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent preferred; MBA a strong plus
  • A proven track record of success in managing partnerships in a technology environment, including revenue growth
  • Demonstration of exceptional contract negotiation and relationship skills
  • Experience with e-discovery, compliance, records management and/or archiving is beneficial
  • Demonstrate creativity/imagination in identifying and exploiting business opportunities
  • Strategic thinker and strong executor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to travel
  • Capacity to lead projects in demanding settings
  • Strong, collaborative relationship-building, analytical and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and negotiation skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Increase appropriate business with existing partners, as well as generate new business opportunities with those and additional partners as assigned
  • Successfully negotiate difficult and/or critical business matters, through interaction with executive level managers both internally and externally
  • Effectively manage the relationship process to escalate activity to client introductions and interactive partner participation
  • Collaborate with marketing to identify marketing partner opportunities, including trade shows, seminars, etc
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the e-discovery, compliance, records management and archiving industries
